There are two types of ocean freight shipping options; FCL (full container load) and LCL (less-than container load). LCL involves sharing a shipping container with other businesses while FCL consists of reserving a container exclusively for your own shipment. When reserving your own container for shipment, you have several size options available. Our expert team can help you find a container that best fits your needs.

DIFFERENT SERVICE LEVELS

ExFreight has 2 service levels for full container ocean freight, each having their own unique standards:

Standard Ocean

Our lowest cost per container option with service based on our contracted rates for space with each carrier and subject to space availability. At booking ExFreight requests container space and equipment from the ocean carrier. Once confirmed, the container is released for loading.

If space or equipment is unavailable:

• ExFreight will notify you and offer alternative carriers.
• You may choose an alternative carrier or wait for space to become available.

Note:

• Your quoted rate is valid only if the container is able to be loaded and delivered to the port before the carrier cutoff date

Guaranteed Capacity 

Our highest level of full container ocean freight.  Service is based on carrier spot based pricing and directly connected to carrier booking systems. Quotes are provided instantly based on ocean carriers space availability with vessel schedule options provided in the quote. Once booked the capacity is guaranteed by the carrier.

Note:

• There are booking cancelation fees if containers miss their voyage.
• These rates are only available on some lanes and only when capacity is available.
